Charakteristika
Najjednoduchčí spôsob ako definovať post-metal je spojenie post-rocku a heavy metalu. Typickými post-metalovými nástrojmi sú dve až tri gitary, basová gitara, syntetizátory, bicie a spevák.[1] Existuje množstvo čisto inštrumentálnych post-metalových skupín ako napr. Pelican či Russian Circles.
