Willard Christopher Smith, Jr. (* 25. September 1968, Philadelphia, Pensylvánia, USA) je americký herec. Ako raper používal pseudonym The Fresh Prince v duu DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince a na sólovej dráhe. Bol štyrikrát nominovaný na Zlatý Glóbus, dvakrát na Cenu Akadémie a je štvornásobným držiteľom Ceny Grammy.

Životopis

Narodil sa ako druhé dieťa zo štyroch Willardovi, majiteľovi chladiarenskej spoločnosti a Caroline Smithovej. Vyrastal v západnej Philadelphii, kde dostal prezývku „Prince“, nakoľko využíval svoj prirodzený šarm, aby sa dostal z problémov. Ako nadaný začínajúci umelec sa stretol s Jeffom Townesom na jednej párty a onedlho začali spolupracovať pod duom „DJ Jazzy Jeff a Fresh Prince“. Ako populárni zarábali veľa peňazí, ktoré Smith míňal hlavne na dom, autá a klenoty. Smith ale chcel začať niečo nové, čo sa mu podarilo, keď stretol Bennyho Medinu, ktorý prišiel s myšlienkou nového seriálu založeného na Smithovom živote v Beverly Hills. Smithovi a NBC sa táto myšlienka zapáčila, čím vznikol seriál The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), ktorý trval 6 sezón. Počas toho Smith hral v niekoľkých filmoch, kritici si ho všimli hlavne vo filme Six Degrees of Separation (1993). Úspech prišiel hlavne s filmom Where the Day Takes You 1991, Made in America 1993, Ničomníci (Bad Boys, 1995, Deň nezávislosti 1996, Muži v čiernom 1997, Nepriateľ štátu 1998, Divoký západ 1999, Legenda o slávnom návrate 2000, Ali 2001, Muži v čiernom 2 2002, Bad Boys 2, 2003, Otec na plný úväzok 2004, Ja, robot 2004, Príbeh žraloka 2004, Hitch: Liek pre moderného muža (2005, Šťastie na dosah 2006, Ja, legenda 2007, Hancock 2008, Sedem životov 2008, Muži v čiernom 3 2012, Po zániku Zeme 2013, Zimmý príbeh 2014, Focus 2015, Concussion 2015, Suicide Squad 2016, Collateral Beauty 2016, Bright 2017), ktorý sa považuje za začiatok jeho hviezdnej kariéry. Je ženatý, od roku 1997 je jeho manželkou herečka a producentka Jada Pinkettová-Smithová. Narodili sa im dve deti, syn Jaden Christopher Syre (* 1998) a dcéra Willow Camille Reign Smithová (* 2001). Smith má z predchádzajúceho manželstva jedného syna, Willarda Carrolla Smitha III (* 1992).
