Columbus Blue Jackets hrá v Metropolitnej divízii Východnej konferencie. Je to jeden z najmladších klubov v NHL. Bol založený iba v roku 2000. Klubu sa podarilo postúpiť do play-off v sezóne 2008/09.Vypadol v 1. kole s Detroitom 4:0 na zápasy.
