Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder, vlastným menom Stevland Hardaway Morris (rod. Stevland Hardaway Judkins 13. máj 1950, Saginaw, Michigan, USA),[1] je americký hudobník, spevák-skladateľ, hudobný producent a multiinštrumentalista. Už ako dieťa bol talentovaný a postupne sa stal jedným z najkreatívnejších a najobľúbenejších hudobníkov konca 20. storočia.[2] Stevie Wonder krátko po narodení oslepol.[3]

Život

Talentovaný, avšak od narodenia slepý[3][4] podpísal svoju prvú nahrávaciu zmluvu, keď mal 11 rokov so spoločnosťou Motown Records.[2] Presadil sa predovšetkým sopránom a vynikajúcou hrou na ústnu harmoniku. Keď dospel jeho hlas sa posunul medzi nízky tenor a vysoký barytón. Potom, ako dosiahol plnoletosť, podpísal novú zmluvu, ktorá mu umožňovala tvoriť úplne samostatne.

Počas svojej kariéry spolupracoval s interpretmi ako Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, Bob Marley a mnohými ďalšími.
