Mothership

Mothership je kompilácia najväčších hitov anglickej rockovej skupiny Led Zeppelin, ktorú vydali vydavateľstva Atlantic Records a Rhino Entertainment 12. novembra 2007 v Spojenom kráľovstve a 13. novembra 2007 v Spojených štátoch. Album vyšiel v rovnaký deň, kedy sa úplný výber skladieb Led Zeppelin stal dostupným v internetových obchodoch vrátane iTunes. Obal albumu vytvoril umelec Shepard Fairey.

Piesne obsiahnuté na albume vybrali žijúci členovia Led Zeppelin Robert Plant, Jimmy Page a John Paul Jones tak, aby reprezentovali všetkých osem štúdiových albumov vydaných počas existencie skupiny. Okrem dvojdiskovej verzie sú k dispozícii aj „deluxe“ a „collector's“ (zberateľská) verzie, ktoré obsahujú aj DVD s rôznym, najmä koncertným materiálom zo skôr vydaného DVD Led Zeppelin (2003).

Umiestnenie, certifikácia, predaj

Album Mothership debutoval na 4. pozícii hitparády UK Albums Chart s 58 000 predanými kusmi, tiež debutoval na New Zealand Albums Chart na prvej pozícii a udržal sa na nej niekoľko týždňov. Album zároveň debutoval na siedmej pozícii americkej hitparády Billboard 200 s 136 000 predanými kusmi v prvom týždni predaja. Zatiaľ sa predalo cez 925 257 kópií albumu v Spojených štátoch a bol 2x certifikovaný ako platinový asociáciou RIAA.
