Anhingovití
Anhingovití (Anhingidae) je čeleď vodních ptáků ptáků z řádu terejů, kteří jsou příbuzní kormoránům. Vyskytují se v tropickém a subtropickém pásu kolem celé Země. Živí se rybami, které harpunují za pomoci svého dlouhého krku.

- Anhinga hadarensis – svrchní pliocén/spodní pleistocén, východní Afrika
- byly popsány také Anhinga nana a Anhinga parva, ukázalo se ale, že jde o kosti kormoránů[8][9]
