Ron Asheton (* 17. júl 1948, Washington D.C. – † január 2009, Ann Arbor, Michigan) bol americký skladateľ a gitarista.

V roku 1967 založil so spevákom Iggym Popom, bubeníkom Scottom Ashetonom a basgitaristom Daveom Alexandrom rockovú skupinu The Stooges.

Hudobný magazín Rolling Stone ho zaradil v rebríčku 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time (slov. 100 najlepších gitaristov všetkých čias) na 29. miesto[1].

6. januára 2009 našli Ashetona mŕtveho v jeho dome v Ann Arbor, štát Michigan[2].
