BBY je najčastejšie používaný letopočet vo svete Star Wars. Znamená Pred bitkou o Yavin (Before Battle of Yavin), ktorá sa odohrala v Epizóde IV. Pred ňou sa používal napríklad letopočet Po Sithských vojnách (After Sith Wars).
