Post-disco
Post-disco je hnutie elektronickej hudby (najmä diska), ktoré sa vyvinulo na prelome sedemdesiatych a osemdesiatych rokoch v Spojených štátoch. Toto obdobie je charakterizované rysmi experimentálnej a elektronickej hudby, keď v disko hudbe "zavládol" sampler, sekvencer, bicí automat, syntetizér aj iné elektronické hudobné nástroje.[1] Post-disco malo vplyv na dance-pop, dance-rock, alternative dance, boogie, freestyle.[1][2][3] Vplyvom dub dalo post-disko vzniknúť house štýlu.[4][5][6][7]
Medzi post-disco hudobníkov patria Evelyn "Champagne" Kingová, D. Train, Freeez, Patrice Rushen, Thelma Houston. Medzi hudobných producentov patria Kashif, Arhur Baker, Nick Martinell, François Kevorkian, Larry Levan.[1]
Pet Shop Boys, Madonna, New Order tiež vychádzali z tohto hnutia.[8]
