The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special je připravovaný americký televizní speciál, založený na komiksovém týmu[1] z komiksů Marvel Comics. Speciál, který je prvním v Marvel Cinematic Universe, napsal i režíroval James Gunn.[2] Speciál je produkován společností Marvel Studios.

Hlavní role z filmové série Strážci Galaxie si zopakují Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillanová a Pom Klementieff.[3][4] Speciál byl oznámen v prosinci 2020,[5] natáčení začalo v únoru 2022 a trvalo do konce dubna téhož roku.[6]

Speciál by má být uveden v prosinci 2022,[7] na streamovací platformě Disney+, jako součást 4. fáze Marvel Cinematic Universe.[8]

Vývoj a scénář

V prosinci 2020 oznámil prezident Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, nový televizní speciál – The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, který napíše a zrežíruje James Gunn, scenárista a režisér filmové série Strážci galaxie.[8]

Gunn dokončil scénář v dubnu 2021.[9] Ve speciálu se objeví obsazení z předchozí filmů Strážci galaxie[10] a příběh bude zasazen mezi filmy Thor: Láska jako hrom a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.[9] Gunn zároveň oznámil, že pro film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 použije některé scény ze speciálu.[11] The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special by měl mít přibližně 40 minut.[12]

Hudba

V lednu 2022 James Gunn potvrdil, že John Murphy, skladatel, který složil hudbu pro Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, bude skládat hudbu také pro speciál.[13]
